Compatibility policy
Additive change is free; breaking change is versioned
Additive optional fields, tools, documentation, or error detail may ship without breaking an existing valid client. A breaking request, response, schema, or transport change receives a new version and migration guidance.
Deprecation notice
At least 90 days of notice
byImprint will give at least 90 days of public notice before a stable callable interface is shut down, unless an urgent security or legal issue requires a faster response.
A deprecated resource will send the RFC 9745 Deprecation header and link to migration guidance. If a shutdown date is set, it will also send the RFC 8594 Sunset header.
